Do you have or belong to a group that has talent? Do you have an entertainer in your family or know someone who has? Are you a fan of shows like America’s Got Talent? Well then, read on. This is an exploratory invitation for auditions for our own “Sun Lakes’ Got Talent” (SLGT) show targeted for early 2023.
We are looking for contestants who want to express themselves on stage. Are you a singer, comedian, daredevil, have a pet that does tricks, or just have an interesting talent? Contact us at [email protected] and let us know what talent you or your group have. Don’t wait, as there may be a limit on audition applications. Auditions will start in a few months and take place over several weeks on different days and times, with the finale planned for early next year. Keep in mind that greatness is not as important as having fun. All auditions and shows will be videoed, and a link to share with family and friends will be available.
We also need a team of volunteers to help create and produce this event, develop schedules, location, promotion, and more. If you have interest in joining the team, let’s chat. This event is not currently sponsored or associated with any television or entertainment network, social club, church, or business.
We are working with various sponsors and clubs for prize donations for not only the winner, runner-up, and second runner-up, but also for the best in each category, such as “Best Singer,” “Best Magician,” “Best Dancer,” and “Most Unusual.” Age is another category for prizes for “Best Performer Under the Age of 17” and, of course, “Best Senior Talent.” This will be a great way for businesses and clubs to get more involved with our community to get their message out. Let us know if you are interested in being a sponsor. All money from ticket sales (after expenses) will be included in prize winnings.
