Crystal Cards (CC) volunteers get the jobs done. Some pick up the donated greeting cards at the drop bins. Others cut up the cards, preparing them for transformation. Some cut trim paper and cardstock. Then folding cardstock and inserts gets done by others. Of course, we have to tape and glue, find envelopes to fit, and, finally, put the CC label on the back. It’s really amazing all the steps and all the people who complete these steps to create a beautiful, brand-new card. If you come to any of CC sales, you’ll see another group of volunteers who set up the sales and help you find just the right card to send to a family member or friend.
All cards are just $1 each. Money from sales is donated to My Sister’s Place, a local domestic violence facility. For more information about Crystal Cards, go to www.thecrystalcardproject.org.
