Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a spiritual community that focuses on peace, love and healing. We follow the teachings of Jesus as well as other spiritual Masters. Our prayers are affirmative in order to align ourselves with the Truth we know is in all of us. We meet in the Arts and Crafts Room of Sun Lakes Country Club at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Rev. Debbi Brown/Adams is our spiritual leader, and Francine Alexander is our music director. Coffee and fellowship follow the service.
In Unity, we believe in the power of positive thinking and being happy is good for our bodies and our brains. To achieve this state of mind, we must retrain our minds to think correctly. When we become aware of the mundane, redundant and negative thoughts we had yesterday, it shows us what needs to be changed. Joe Dispenza in his book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, advises us to contemplate who we want to be, how we want to live and what we want our lives to be like and then consistently, every day, repeat this while keeping a picture of the end result in our minds. Our egos may resist change, telling us that life is just right the way it is no matter how bad it might be. Nevertheless, we can still train our minds to look for the good, regardless of what may be happening in the greater world. If you think this sounds like sticking your head in the sand, it definitely is not! You will be creating a new reality and bringing more peace and love into the world. We can be grateful in this month of Thanksgiving to have the opportunity to manifest a world of peace, harmony and love for ourselves and all our brothers and sisters on planet earth. Change your thinking. Change your life.
