Tai Chi is a 1000-year-old martial art originating in China. The basis of Tai Chi is gentle, controlled movement to create an unimpeded flow of chi (qi) throughout the body. It is through this energy flow that we gain better health and better balance physically, emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.
We have a unique opportunity at SunBird in that a Tai Chi Master has recently moved in and wishes to begin classes in traditional Yang Style Tai Chi. Perry Rollings is owner and Sifu of Willow School of Tai Chi. He has studied under several Masters over the years, taught for over 14 years, and been a practitioner of the art for many more.
Beginner Tai Chi classes are available on Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Navajo Room, and Mondays at 6 p.m. beginning Dec. 13 in the back third of the ballroom.
