The SunBird Singers will present their annual Christmas concert on Dec. 11 and 12. The concerts are performed in the community center ballroom and begin at 7:00 p.m. In addition to the vocal numbers presented by the 60 or so singers, there will be numbers performed by the bell choir using both the traditional Schulmerich handbells and their new melody chimes. The theme of this year’s concerts is “Memories of Christmas Past.” The concerts are free, although there will be an opportunity to make a donation at the door. Those gifts are the sole source of funds used to license music and purchase supplies.
Rehearsals for the SunBird Singers will begin on Monday, Oct. 14, at 3:00 p.m., and last about two hours. The bell choir rehearsals will begin on Monday, Oct. 21 at 2:00 p.m., and last for one hour. If you would like to join either group, please contact one of the three directors: Pat Miller at 480-707-3984, Kim Hanson at 253-229-0453, or Mike Hanson at 253-906-1743.
