Post Office Information
Our office does not have access to mailbox keys. Please call 480-802-4811 to request keys, the location of your mailbox, or lock repair.
If you move, place your keys in an envelope with your address on it and place it in the outgoing mail slot at your mailbox.
USPS charges a Perishable Handling Fee, which is an additional charge on top of postage, for shipping items like plants and perishable foods, introduced in January of 2025. The fee is $15 for Priority Mail and $7.50 for Ground Advantage.
Mail Delivery
The Ocotillo Post Office, located at Arizona Avenue and Chandler Heights Road, is responsible for the delivery of all mail to SunBird residents. If there is a problem with delivery to your mailbox, please call 480-802-4811 and ask to speak to a delivery supervisor. If you receive mail for a neighbor, please bring that mail to our office for redelivery by the carrier. To ensure the safe and secure delivery of all mail, it is important that all misdelivered mail be returned to a postal employee, either at the Ocotillo Post Office or the SunBird Post Office.
We can only take cash or checks, and cannot accept anything larger than a $20 bill after 1 p.m.
