SunBird Lions Participate in Community Day

The SunBird Lions Club participated in the SunBird Golf Resort Community Day on Nov. 13. Many people stopped by for a free pair of reading glasses and information on hearing, sight, diabetes, the Flag Program, medical supplies, and the food pantry with AZCEND.
The upcoming fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 25, will be a night of music and fun with the tribute band Soultown Train.

Welcome to Lion Randy Haeffner who will be working with Lion Paula Warhoover with the medical equipment for the SunBird Lions Club.
We have wheelchairs, commodes, walkers, shower chairs, and high-rise seats that go over toilets. Call Lion Randy Haeffner at 815-761-9757 if you are in need of medical equipment, and you can pick it up or have it delivered, at no cost, for as long as you need it.

The SunBird Lions Club would like to thank everyone who supported our garage sale on Nov. 16. We had a very successful sale, and we look forward to doing it again next year.
We are grateful we can help those in need. For childhood cancer research and for those who may not have food on their table, need help to purchase eyeglasses, or need medical equipment, the SunBird Lions Club is there to help.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to purchase packets, and games begin at 6:30 p.m. Prizes double when notified by the caller.

Lions Michael Block and Arlene Block delivered items collected at the Lions garage sale to help animals at the Arizona Humane Society.
Blankets, sheets, pillows, pet beds, pet food and treats, and toys can be donated by leaving them in the Poster Room at the SunBird Golf Resort, or you can call Lion Michael Block at 480-238-4701 for pick-up.
