Bingo Winners – November 17
SunBird Lions Club Bingo winners on Nov. 17 were Linda Brandon, Jennifer Gomall, Paula Warhoover, Joyce Dougal (won two games), Joyce Harris, Karen Lilleboe, Aida Frabotta, Kathy Spilotio, Vickie Baker (won two games and split the big cover-all prize), Maureen A. Scott (won two games), Barbara Scott, Lucy Tanner, Paula Curtis, Dee Parker, Bev Huziek, and Trish Carrel (split the big cover-all prize).
Thank you to all who support SunBird Lions Club Bingo. It is a fun night with new caller Verne Green. Many games can double if the win is within the number of calls stated by Verne.
Games are the first and third Friday of the month in the SunBird ballroom and are open to the public. No one under the age of 18 can play. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., ticket sales begin at 6 p.m., and games begin at 6:30 p.m. Snacks, coffee, and water are available for a nominal fee.

Dec. 1 was another great night at the SunBird Lions Club Bingo. Winners were Jane Ellett, Margaret Wiseman, Harry Gilmartin, Jackie Bard, Felicity Dennis, Karen Willabee, Joyce Dougal, Sharon Yates, Liesa Firebaugh (won three games), Floy Feltmann, Kim Price, Mary Jo Daniel, June Preder, Mona Rice, and Barbara Scott. Floy Feltman had another win and was our big winner.
Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to all who came out to support the SunBird Lions Club. We are so appreciative of all your support so that we can continue doing what we all love to do, and that is helping others in need.

SunBird Lions Club Activities
Being a SunBird Lion is so rewarding. We work with the visual and hearing impaired, hold clothing drives for those in need, and help with AZCEND Food Pantry and children with cancer, along with other projects.
On the first and third Friday of each month (November through April), we have Bingo in the SunBird ballroom starting at 6 p.m., at which time you can purchase game cards. Games begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Bingo is open to the public.
Meetings are the third Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the SunBird Lakeview Room. We also have our Flag Program where flags are placed on your property for every national holiday. For more information, you may contact Carol Zittel at 480-883-0958.
SunBird Lions Club Drops Off Donations
The SunBird Lions Club donated clothing, shoes, purses, towels, etc., to those in need. Thank you to everyone who made this such a huge success.

Barro’s Pizza Fundraiser for SunBird Lions Club

Thank you to all who supported our recent fundraiser at Barro’s Pizza, and thank you to Barro’s for your generosity and kindness. The food was delicious, and it was a great community get-together.
With these fundraisers, we can continue giving to the many charities that so deserve our help: children with cancer, seeing and hearing programs, food pantry, clothing the less fortunate, and many more.
We look forward to sharing more fundraisers with all of you.
SunBird Lions Aluminum Can Donations

The holidays are busy times, and there are lots of aluminum cans from beverages that can be donated to worthy causes.
The SunBird Lions Club has many receptacles throughout the SunBird facility that you can place your cans in. All monies from these cans help many in need, and it’s an easy way to help out.
Please, no plastic bottles. Only aluminum pop/soda cans or beer cans and the like are acceptable.
