On Saturday, February 9, 2019, the SunBird Lions Club worked three hours collecting food for a local food bank. Albertson’s grocery store located at Riggs and Gilbert allowed the SunBird Lions Club to collect items for the local AZCEND Food Shelf located in downtown Chandler. Albertson’s patrons donated $390 in cash (converted to gift cards) and 196 pounds of canned goods, toiletries and miscellaneous others items. The SunBird Lions Club delivered all the items to AZCEND on Monday, February 11, 2019. To all those who participated, we thank you for your generous donations.
