We are always here to help those in need. We collect aluminum cans and recycle. Receptacles are around the SunBird Golf Resort and are marked with Lions insignia. Please, nothing but aluminum pop/soda/beer cans.
If a large pick-up is needed, contact Lion Gordon Olson at 612-803-5215.
We support AZCEND Food Pantry. A collection box is in the Poster Room in SunBird Golf Resort. We collect sealed food packages only, pet foods, paper items, non-perishable items, and baby foods. We cannot accept outdated foods. For pick-up, please contact Lion Robert Arnold at 480-408-5018.
Medical equipment is collected and used for anyone who is in need. Contact Lion Randy Haeffner at 815-761-9757 if you want to donate equipment or if you need to borrow equipment.
Our Flag Program is $45 a year. Flags will be installed for all major holidays. Call Lion Carol Zittel at 480-883-0958, and she will do the rest.
We collect gently used eyeglasses, hearing aids, and cell phones. Call Lion Ray Clark at 480-747-8154 or drop items off at the SunBird office.
Flamingos for any occasion is a fun way to share your congratulations, thanks, or just because. Contact Lion Jan Engdahl at 602-568-0511 to arrange your flamingo sighting.
We have information on diabetes, childhood cancer, hearing, and vision.
Bingo is held on the first and third Friday of each month, November through April, in the SunBird Golf Resort. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and games begin at 6:30 p.m. There are 15 games with some games that double your money.

For a donation of $25, a Lions member will place flamingos wherever you choose for 24 hours. What a fun time for everyone!

Congratulations to the Winners at SunBird Lions Club Bingo

We hope you will join us as we start the new year with exciting games and community togetherness and supporting SunBird Lions Club at the same time. We wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year.
Our winners on Friday, December 6 2024 were Nancy Meeks, Steve Hjelmeland, Joann Riggio, Betty Cox, Mary Jo Daniel, Bob Strunk, Karen Lilleboe, Pam Westman (won two games), Lynette Martens, Liesa Firebaugh, Maureen Scott, Reinette Moore, Marilyn Hespel, Kim Price (won two games), and Maureen Scott. Two winners doubled their money. This is done when the caller specifies how many balls are being called, and if you are under the amount, you double your winnings.
The SunBird Lions hope to see you and your friends, family, and neighbors on the first and third Friday of each month through April.
Lions Club Bingo is played in the SunBird ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the selling of packets, and games begin at 6:30 p.m. Snacks and beverages are available for a nominal fee. Bingo is open to the public. No one under the age of 18 can play.
Let’s start the new year by joining the fun and supporting the SunBird Lions Club.
All monies go to supporting those in our community who are in need and for help with vision, hearing, food, cancer, diabetes, and medical supplies. We will serve anyone in need. Ask any Lion if you need help. Everything is confidential unless you choose to share.

We look forward to sharing golf, lunch, and doing what we all do best—helping those in need—in this new year.

A big thank you to Someburros restaurant on Gilbert Road in Chandler for the amazing fundraiser they provided for SunBird Lions Club. The food was delicious, and the staff was very accommodating. What a great way to share with the community and support our many causes!
