Merry Christmas to you and your families! I hope your Thanksgiving was filled with many blessings and much love on top of all that food.
Well it’s December and by the time you read this you will have already purchased your tickets to the Golf/Tennis Holiday Celebration Dinner and Dance. I know it will be a full house and that equates to fun, laughter and making new friends. Thank you to everyone who helped put this event together.
Welcome new ladies club members:
A very special welcome to Suzanne Popelka, (golf buddy Barb Dunbar) and Lisa Onyx, (golf buddy Dee Lee). Both these ladies played during our first day of our new season and reported that they had a good time! Thank you to their buddies for all you did to make them feel welcome. Remember – it’s not too late to join, so if you have been considering joining us on the course just pick up a form at the pro-shop and we will get you started.
Member dues: In order to keep your AWGA handicap current you will need to have your SunBird Ladies Club dues paid no later than December 15. The cost is $50 and you may pay with cash or check at the Pro Shop. You can go on line and pay with a charge card, but that needs to be done a bit earlier so we receive your records in time to continue your current GHIN number. If you have questions about that process, please contact our Treasurer Jan Sirois.
Upcoming lunch hosts will need to contact Julie ASAP even if your lunch is not for a couple of months. She can help you design a menu or work with your creation. A very special thank you to our November Lunch hosts, Cindy Vig, Karen Gilmore and Margaret McCathern, and of course, Julie and her team. Lunch was FABULOUS!
I will be sure to report on our combined play with the Lady Niners next month as the event happened too late to get into the December news. I am sure it was filled with fun and hopefully some of you made a few new friends.

December 6 – Monthly lunch meeting with a Christmas theme
December 9 – Ladies Net shootout; I encourage everyone to sign up. I know it’s a bit scary at first, but it’s really a lot of fun. Whether you play or not, please encourage your family and friends to come cheer everyone on! Again, it’s a great event. Ask your friends to come watch even if you don’t play.

January 27 – Ladies Gross shootout
