Please mark your calendar and plan on attending the first 2014-2015 Garden Club meeting on November 7 in the Ballroom at 9:00 a.m. Guests are always welcome at these meetings.
Garden Club historically uses the November meeting to make plans and get volunteers for what should be another exciting season. Our President Alice Whistler will once again lead us on a journey of fun, learning and contributing to our community.
Last year was a lot of fun with our official meetings ending in April when over 40 of the SunBird Garden Club went to the Desert Botanical Garden to enjoy the Chihuly exhibit. Dale Chihuly’s incredible art was displayed throughout the gardens. Chihuly is a master in his field and his glass work perfectly complements the plants in the gardens. It was a wonderful ending to a great year. Thanks so much to Alice for planning and arranging for this fun trip.

Each year SunBird Garden Club has usually enjoyed among other things a Christmas brunch, a tea or lunch, a silent auction, the ever popular Home and Garden tour, some of the members meet and weed (it’s not a requirement, but enjoyed by those who do it) and a bus trip somewhere exciting. Over the summer, members get together at different local restaurants for lunch. It’s a fun group of ladies and we’d love for anyone interested to come see what we are all about.
