SunBird Lifestyles Director Wendy Weber has reached out to both Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies regarding the COVID-19 vaccinations. Each year, SunBird has partnered in the past with Walgreens to provide a mobile unit at the SunBird clubhouse for flu shots. Walgreens has responded to our request to consider this same service request for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccinations. They have indicated that when scheduled phases of vaccinations are available for the public, SunBird will be one of the first communities they contact. With that information, each person should seek first to use the various options available through their own health care provider and/or physician, to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations. As soon as SunBird receives any information about having a COVID-19 mobile unit in the community, notice will be provided ASAP. Stay safe and healthy.
