Jesus has risen!
The fire that lit the boiler of the New Testament church was an unquenchable belief that if Jesus had been only a man, he would have stayed in the tomb. The earliest Christians couldn’t stay silent about the fact the one they saw hung on the cross walked again on the earth and appeared to 500 people. Max Lucado
Lord, thank you for the sweet surprise of Easter morning. We are thankful that when you arose from your sleep of death, you didn’t go immediately to Heaven but, instead, you went and visited your people. This visit of love reminds us that it was for people you died.
Please join us in our festive worship on Easter morning as we celebrate our risen Savior. Our excellent church choir, led by Pat Miller, will present the cantata, “Because He Lives.” Minister David Walker will deliver a meaningful message. In addition, we offer you our friendship.
The annual church barbeque was held March 5 for SunBird residents and their guests at no charge, and the response was many people. It is SunBird Community Church’s gift to our friends. Thanks to all the willing cooks and workers.
SunBird Community Church is fortunate to have a group of seasoned ministers to present a message each Sunday. Here is the list for April: April 2 – Al Fadi, April 9 – Marv Jacobs, April 16 – David Walker, April 23 – Ryan Stephens and April 30 – Jim Baugh.
Do not forget Wednesday evening Bible Study led by Hank Miller at 6:30 p.m. in the Hopi room.
If you would like to be a part of our choir, join us at practice Thursday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the SunBird ballroom.
SunBird Community Church is nondenominational and based on the Bible. Our members invite you to visit us any Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the SunBird ballroom. There you will meet our friendly congregation and hear an uplifting message by an experienced minister. Should we save a place?
