“The youthful urgency to step past time and learning has been replaced with patience and endurance though sometimes not in the strongest sense. There is a place in the heart, not a place where all wishes are granted. A song and a prayer in the heart are worth all the visual triumphs in the world. A rise from a deeper, more spiritual harmony erases all that was not quite right and presents a clearer picture of what is really worthwhile. American Indians call it walking in a more sacred manner.” Joyce S. Hifler
Even if I walk through a very dark valley, I will not be afraid because You are with me. Your rod and your walking stick comfort me. Psalm 23:4
When we stop and consider the condition of and evil in our world, our mind may turn to Revelation in our Bible where God has laid out His plan of events when our Savior returns to this earth and takes us home.
“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming in which all that are in their graves shall hear His voice and shall come forth; those that have done good unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28-29
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither crying nor sorrow, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4
Remember to thank our Lord on Independence Day, July 4, for the freedom to worship him without restraint and the many additional blessings He has bestowed on our country. May God continue to bless America.
Most of our attendees are now settled in their northern homes, and we are in our summer church with a smaller congregation. This season completely depends on our willing volunteers. Let us be grateful and thankful for them.
Our church prayer chain continues. If you need prayers, please call Julie Hartog at 895-2622 ([email protected]) or Jamie Morgan at 802-7358 ([email protected]).
