Frank Nechvatal

The February 6 meeting was called to order at 6:13 p.m. by President Nechvatal. The treasurer’s report indicated that the club has $3,658.70. The slate of officers for 2018 and 2019 seasons were given a first reading. They are President, Frank Nechvatal; Vice-President, Elisa Romano; Treasurer, Pauline Sciaretta; Secretary, ???

Bob Sciaretta made a presentation on club dues and requested that members who have not paid to please pay ASAP. He also reminded members that he will collect dues at the April meeting for next season (2018-2019). Chris Nechvatal announced a planned luncheon on February 13 at Fiesta Mexicana at 11:30 a.m. A sign-up sheet was made, and 17 members signed up for the luncheon. After the business meeting, the members got their plates of goodies to sit and watch Part 3 of the PBS video on Italian immigration (1920 to 1945).

The March and April meetings were discussed. March will have the election of officers, followed by Part 4 of the PBS series on Italian immigration (the years after 1945). April will be the last meeting of this season, and it is scheduled to be on the patio. The club will purchase baked and fried chicken from Albertsons, and members will bring side dishes and desserts and their own beverages. Both meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The 50/25/25 drawing netted $38 for the club, and the first number drawn was given $20 (Mary Lacy). The second number drawn received $18 (Mary McMullen).
