The November meeting was held in the Horizon Room at 6:00 p.m. This was a potluck meeting that proved to be very enjoyable. Our meeting followed a very busy Community Day Event. President Bob Sciaretta, along with Herb and Jo Zielke and Chris Nechvatal, manned the club’s table. They were able to collect several interested individuals’ names as potential new members!
As a reminder we are delivering the SunBird News this winter (November through April). This endeavor provides the club with an income of $978.60. However, to make this a successful endeavor we need for members to step up and help deliver the papers. Don and Mary McMullen are in charge of the operation. If you are willing to help in any way possible, see them and see where you may be able to help!
Our annual Christmas Party is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the Horizon Room. Your choices are meat lasagna or spaghetti marinara at a cost of $13.50 per plate. This does include tax and tip. Chris Nechvatal is in charge of the event. Money must be collected prior to the date! The final order will go in December 5. If you have any questions call Chris at 883-9262.
For the remainder of our meeting schedule the activities are as follows: January – Pizza Party; February – Games Night; March – Movie Night with appetizers and snacks; April – Baked Potato Buffet. Mark your calendars accordingly.
We wish our club members and their families a very blessed holiday season – Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year).
