Sun Lakes Lions Club Foundation, a (501-c3 foundation) presented local charities their checks from 2014-2015 Lions year on June 4.

Income raised for this purpose comes from private donations and the club’s Flag Program where over $60,000 was raised this Lions year. A Lions Year runs from July 1 through June 30, not January 1 through December 31. The club thanks all subscribers to our Flag Program for you really make this happen.

Of course, there are others that receive money from what is raised in the Flag Program; Lions Club International Disaster Relief, Guide Dogs of the Desert, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Arizona Lions Eyeglass Recycling Terminal, C. Kirby Smithe Lions International Youth Exchange, Camp Tatiyee Land Campaign, Lions Foundation of Arizona, Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation, Lions Vision Center, Melvin Jones Lions International Memorial and Lions Clubs International Peace Poster Contest.
