The first annual states of Michigan/Illinois party will be held on Thursday, March 12 starting at 4:00 p.m. with dinner at 5:00 p.m. on the SunBird Clubhouse patio. All Michigan and Illinois residents, former residents and anyone with ties to Michigan/Illinois are invited to attend and share stories and memories about their lives in their Great Lakes state.
Thanks to everyone’s generosity last year, hot dogs, buns, Coney sauce, onions and condiments will be provided by the party committee. Attendees with last names starting with A to H are asked to bring an appetizer. Those whose last name begins with I to P are asked to bring fruit or dessert to pass. Last names beginning with Q to Z will bring salad or vegetables. Coffee, plates, utensils, cups and napkins will be provided. Everyone should bring their own drinks.
There will be entertainment, a 50/50 drawing and a donation box to help offset the cost of the food for 2016. So mark your calendars for the Michigan/Illinois party on Thursday, March 12. To help the committee finalize their plans, there will be a sign up sheet in the Puzzle Room after February 10.
