First and foremost, the SunBird Singers wish to thank the SunBird community for their attendance and financial support at their recent Christmas concert. It is hoped that everyone enjoyed the concert as much as the singers enjoyed presenting it. Now it is time to start preparations for the spring concert.
The spring concert, titled Show Stoppers, will feature popular songs recorded by famous singers such as Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline, Frank Sinatra’s New York – New York and Barbara Streisand’s People Who Love People among others. The concert will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, March 4 and 5.
Rehearsals for this concert will begin on Monday, January 5 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Ballroom and will continue each Monday at the same time until the dates of the concert. The directors, Owen and Joyce Bae, look forward to welcoming back all of the singers and especially welcoming any newcomers who would like to participate in this great activity. There are no auditions required so just come and join in. As usual, bring a black three ring binder and pencil to the first rehearsal.
