SunBird Golf Course benefits from updated equipment; in this case, a grass mower capable of grooming in uneven terrain.
This year, through the generosity of SunBird residents’ voluntarily donating $16,000, we were able to “green up” many areas of the course that are normally left brown through the winter. This makes it essential to have a rough mower that is capable of mowing these difficult areas.
So, the annual Canadian, Road Runner, American, and Bandit (CRAB) tournament and auction, coupled with the SunBird Open, allowed us to purchase a rough mower at a cost of approximately $18,000.
We thank all our donors and hope you will continue to support our endeavors to make SunBird the Jewel of the South Valley.
