The new bocce courts are waiting for you!

The two new bocce ball courts are now being used for some exciting and friendly competition. Come and join us to celebrate the completion of this project at a special event being held at the courts on Sunday, December 4 from 2:00–4:00 p.m.
At the celebration we will have bocce demonstrations, short games, a chance for you to roll a few balls, and refreshments for all. You will also have a chance to learn about the exciting Bocce Ball Marathon that is starting in January.
The Bocce Ball Marathon will begin the first week of January and run through March 19. Two person teams will compete for cash prizes and bragging rights as SunBird’s finest rollers. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Flyers and registration forms will be available at the December 4 event and in the SunBird Clubhouse. Registration must be completed by December 30.
The bocce ball courts located at the intersection of Championship Drive and Kerby Farms Road are available for your use daily from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Equipment is located in the bench seat at the south side. Use the combination 8524 to access the storage box. The rules of the game are posted on the bulletin board or are easily found on the internet if you want to study up. If you are new to the game, the Bocce Ball committee members can help you find players and get you started.
The courts may be reserved for a SunBird organization or regular play times by contacting Dianne Reed at 612-616-9431. Check the court bulletin board to see what times have already been reserved.
