Russell Earl Brown
Russell Earl Brown, 85, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at his home of 17 years. Born and raised in Union City, Indiana, Earl called several states home, but lived in Findlay, Ohio, Wyoming and Arizona most of his life.
Earl was a lifelong golfer and natural sportsman. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing and was a spirited card game player. He was very generous, always a gentleman and a devoted family man. The instigator of many family gatherings and adventurous vacations, he loved living every day like it was a holiday.
Earl is survived by his wife, Rose Brown of 64 years, son Russell Paul (Debra) Brown, daughters Kathy (George) Adams, Nancy (Melvin) Cain and Emily (Brad) Miller; as well as his sisters Mrs. Zelma (Herb) Bailey, Ms. Doris (Charlie) Hartman, brother Max (Janice) Brown and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Earl graduated from Union City High School and Ft. Wayne International Business College. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and retired from his professional career as a landman with Marathon Oil Company in 1986 in Casper, Wyoming.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on January 17 at the SunBird Golf Resort Clubhouse.
