Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest difference. This summer, Neighbors Who Care has been surprising homebound clients with a special delivery—an ice cream treat accompanied by a cheerful sign that reads, “Here’s the Scoop… You’re the Best!”
While the ice cream is certainly enjoyed, the true purpose of these visits is to bring smiles, conversation, and companionship to neighbors who may not have many opportunities to connect with others. A friendly face at the door, a few moments spent visiting, and the reminder that someone is thinking of them can make all the difference.
These special deliveries are another way Neighbors Who Care fulfills its mission of helping older adults remain independent while fostering meaningful connections throughout our community. Every visit reminds our clients that they are valued, appreciated, and never forgotten.
