The SunBird Men’s Golf Association, aka The Men’s Club, will hold its first meeting of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m. in the east end of the clubhouse ballroom. The agenda for the meeting, led by President Fred Nixon, will include tournament plans for the coming season, fees, and other items of interest. As usual, there will be coffee and donuts for your morning nourishment. All members, and especially non-members who may be interested in joining or finding out more about the club, are encouraged to attend. Subsequent meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, at the same time and place. Membership in the club is open to golfers of all skill levels. The handicap system that is used levels the playing field so that everyone has a chance to win prizes each week.
Membership in the club, which is required to participate, includes membership in the Arizona Golf Association and in the Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN). For questions, contact Fred Garmeson, membership chairman, at 480-895-9363 or attend any of the first Tuesday business meetings. Also, you may refer to the Men’s Club bulletin board located outside of the pro shop for more information.
