What a different year for my 81st birthday and our 61st wedding anniversary. I’m hoping and praying it won’t be different in September when we are scheduled to restart our line dancing year. If people would understand it’s time to take responsibility and wear masks everywhere, we just might come out of this wave that is happening.
We totally agreed when a caller to Daily Blast Live on Channel 12 based in Colorado said, “Mask It or Casket!” Such an easy thing to do, i.e., putting on your seatbelts and observing “No Smoking” signs. It would be very easy to have a new one: “No Shoes, No Shirts, No Masks, No Service!” We’ve totally appreciated the places, i.e., Safeway, Bashas’, Costco, doctor and dentist offices, who are really trying to do the best for everyone by requiring masks.
The current dancers and I are truly hoping to be able to safely restart line dance classes on Labor Day, Sept. 7, in SunBird at 11:30 a.m. in the ballroom. You may add your name to the new dancers list by calling 480-802-0201 after 10 a.m. for Ultra Basics class. Please leave your name and phone number requesting to be added, as I block numbers that I don’t recognize.
It’s a blessing to have such wonderful people in the three levels of classes. They are truly missed and appreciated. Just talking to the new people on the phone gave me a warm feeling, so they will fit right in. We can all escape this crazy world by dancing to great music. Let’s hope this will happen! God bless line dancing!
