2025 is the year to get stronger and smarter, and you can learn how by joining us at the Women’s Connection on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. It is a program prepared just for you, including coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit. Gluten-free is available upon request. The admission fee of $22 (tax and gratuity included) is payable by cash or check at the door of the Oakwood Country Club Kingston Ballroom located at 24218 S. Lynne Hartke, a resident of Chandler, is our guest speaker. Her talk is entitled “The Strong Women’s Guide to Growing Stronger.” This author and speaker believes there is hope and beauty in the hardest places. Lynne is a cancer survivor and was the 2018 Voice of Hope with the American Cancer Society. She and her husband, the mayor of Chandler, are avid hikers, and when not involved in their community, they can be found on desert trails.
Our special feature will be Dr. Thomas Rindahl, a financial advisor and educator in Tempe. He is a long-standing member of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix and currently serves as a board member. Thom is passionate about education and teaching financial and economic literacy, and he believes a better educated public will create a positive social, financial, and economic impact in our communities. Thus, he participates regularly with various community organizations promoting financial literacy. He will educate us on identifying various types of fraud, including identity theft, and how to respond to and protect against fraud.
Jan Libby, a soloist and member of the East Valley Chorale, will be our soloist for this special February Women’s Connection.
