LCDR Nadarski to address SunBird’s Desert Navy Club

Daniel J. Nadarski, LCDR, SC, USNR, was born in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in June 1985, and commenced his military service in July 1985, at Naval Training Center Orlando, Florida, graduating with Company 180.

After attending boot camp in Orlando, Florida, he served as an Aerographers Mate at NAS Alameda, California.

On November 11, 2006, he was commissioned an Ensign in the Naval Reserve Supply Corps. Since then, he has been activated to serve in Baghdad, Iraq, in 2010; Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa, in 2013 and USAG Baumholder, Germany, in 2016.

Nadarski is the son of Oakwood residents Ron and Priscilla Nadarski.

LCDR Nadarski is currently assigned to United States Pacific Command (US PACOM); DET 401, as a Joint Logistics Staff Officer (Asst. Mortuary Affairs Officer). Previous assignments include NR Fleet Logistic Center, Yokosuka, Japan; DET C as a Contracting Officer, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Distribution San Joaquin, California (DDJC) as the Executive Officer and Navy Supply Support Battalion (NSSB) 1 as the Assistant Training Officer in Phoenix, Arizona. Previous enlisted assignment in Naval Air Station (NAS) Alameda, CA; Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, Pearl Harbor, HI; Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, WA; and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 18, DET 0318, Boise, ID.

LCDR Nadarski most recently mobilized and deployed July 2016, to September 2017, as the Special Operations Command-Forward (SOCFWD) North and West Africa (NWA) Deputy Director – J4 Headquartered in Baumholder, Germany. Previously deployment includes tours as the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Site Director and Department Head for Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa, from July 2013, to September 2014, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and with CENTCOM Deployment and Distribution Operation Center (CDDOC) as the LNO in Bagdad, Iraq, from January to November 2010, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn. Previous enlisted deployment was with Naval Air Facility (NAF) Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, providing meteorological assistance in support of Operation Desert Storm.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geography and minor in Computer Science from Sonoma State University. He also holds a Masters of Science (MS) in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from University of Idaho and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Accounting from Boise State University. LCDR Nadarski is also a graduate of the United States Naval War College’s Command Staff Program in 2016. In addition, he is also a graduate of the Joint Mortuary Affairs Center’s Mortuary Affairs Officers Course at Fort Lee, VA.

LCDR Nadarski has been awarded the following awards and decorations: Joint Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit (three awards), Overseas Service Ribbon (two awards), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal (two awards), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (two awards), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Naval Reserve Meritorious Service (three awards), Armed Forces Reserve Medal (letter M, bronze hourglass and #3), Navy Rifle Marksmanship (letter S), Navy Pistol Marksmanship (letter S).

His wife Dana Nadarski and sons Nathan and Patrick (nine-year-old twins) live in Phoenix, Arizona. LCDR Nadarski is currently employed by Honeywell Corp. as Senior Financial Analyst.
