It’s time to dust off your clubs and get ready for another fun-filled season of golf! The SunBird Ladies League will be starting their new season in November, and we always look forward to seeing our returning members and are most welcoming of new members.

If you like to:

• Golf,

• Meet new friends,

• Learn the rules and etiquette of golf,

• Play a variety of games, and

• Have fun,

Then consider joining the Lady 18ers. We welcome all lady golfers of various skill levels to join our league, and all new members are assigned a “buddy” to help introduce them to our league and practices. We play on Tuesday mornings, and we play a variety of games, enabling participants to play with different individuals.

There are a number of fun events already planned for the 2024-25 season, including a Home & Home Tournament on Jan. 28, 2025, at Palo Verde in Sun Lakes. The Ladies League from Palo Verde will be hosting that event.

The first day of play on Tuesday, Nov. 5, is a game of golf (reverse shotgun start), followed by a luncheon and the first general meeting of the season. The league has monthly general meetings on the first Tuesday of each month after golf, around 3 p.m. Topics at the meeting include upcoming events, golf rules and etiquette, announcing and acknowledging ladies who got a hole-in-one, issues and concerns raised by the members, and we usually have a 50/50 draw to support initiatives in the SunBird community.

Please consider joining our league—you won’t be disappointed!
