We are all very excited to reunite and serve our community. Please mark your calendars for the following dates:
Oct. 20 – First membership meeting in the ballroom at 1 p.m.
Nov. 6 – First Kare Bear Fair in the ballroom from 8 a.m. to noon
Nov. 16 – Community Day in the ballroom from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nov. 17 – Membership meeting in the ballroom at 1 p.m.
Dec. 5 – Second Kare Bear Fair in the ballroom from 8 a.m. to noon
Dec. 15 – Membership meeting in the ballroom at 1 p.m.
Jan. 28 – Style Show for all residents
Feb. 5 – Third and last Kare Bear Fair for the season in the ballroom from 8 a.m. to noon
Feb. 22 – Creedence Clearwater Revival cover band concert (3 and 7 p.m.)
The officers for 2021-22 are as follows: Margaret Speer, president; Deanna Calvert, vice president; Barb Dunbar, secretary; Sandy Barber, treasurer; Lena Craft, member-at-large; and Kitty Determan, member-at-large.
The rest of our meetings will be announced at the Oct. 20 meeting. We are looking for new members, and we would love for you to come join us. Our mission is to provide different services for all residents of the SunBird community. We raise funds through your generous donations, our Kare Bear Fairs, fashion show, and concert. Our group provides desserts, coffee, and lemonade, along with hostesses for setting up Celebration of Life (memorial) services in the SunBird ballroom for our SunBird residents who have passed away.
We will be resuming memorials in October, so please contact the HOA office for the form.
We are seeking a membership and publicity chair, so please let us know at our first meeting in October if you’re interested!
