SunBird’s Kare Bears’ first fair was a great success. We had over 40 vendors selling their baked goods and handmade articles and anything else you think you might need or want. It’s a great place to pick up birthday and Christmas gifts. And it’s all there in one space. If you missed it, we have three more coming up on the first Saturday of December, February, and March. All are welcome.
Kare Bears have a number of events planned for the next few months. Normally, we have a monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of the month; however, in December we have our holiday luncheon, which will take place on Dec. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Horizon Room. Bring a wrapped $5 white elephant gift to be a part of the gift exchange, and enjoy the great food and company.
On Feb. 2, 2024, the Second Hand Rose Style Show and Luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ballroom. Last year’s event was so enjoyable and humorous, thanks to our emcee Jill Ponce. Plan to attend so you don’t miss out on what Jill has planned for us this year.
First and foremost, Kare Bears is a service organization. Everything we collect at our fun events we give back to those who are in need in our community. We are always looking for more members. Come be a part of a great organization. We need you!
