From Jan. 6 through 10, New Adventures in Learning (NAIL) will host five exciting programs, open to all with prior registration. Be our guest. Membership is not required! Participants can choose to attend one or more sessions. Current members are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors.

The schedule includes:

• Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.: Artificial Intelligence (AI), an Overview, by Rob Truman, exploring AI applications and technology

• Jan. 7 at 1 p.m.: Revisiting Folk Music of the ’60s and ’70s, by Bill Haskell, featuring classic videos and discussion

• Jan. 8 at 10 a.m.: An Introduction to Tortillas, Queso, and Pan Dulce, by Kyle Messner, focusing on Mexican culinary traditions in preparation for a field trip

• Jan. 9 at 1 p.m.: Grandma Gatewood, The Woman Who Saved the Appalachian Trail, by Carole Rockland, sharing the inspiring story of Emma Gatewood

• Jan. 10 at 10 a.m.: Impressionists in Winter, by Gene Lariviere, examining winter-themed paintings by famous artists

Registration for the Spring semester will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Approximately 80 classes will be available. Among others, the therapy dogs will be returning for an encore, women’s history classes, finance sessions, and beginning Spanish will also be offered. Classes start Monday, Feb 3. Class curriculum guides will be available soon.
