Diana Hunt
Diane Hunt, 81, of Springfield, Ill., and more recently of Chandler, Ariz., recently passed away unexpectedly on June 5. She was born Aug. 29, 1943, to Rex and Donna Duncan and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years (Paul), her brother Jack, and stepson Greg.
Diane was loved by many and never met a stranger. She will be especially missed by her three daughters Cheryl Dearing, Debbie Waller (Dan Curtis), and Angela Pochardt (Craig) and stepson Jeff Hunt (Sue), who grew up with her unwavering love and support. She is survived by her sister Pam Totzke (Denny). She was an amazing grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 14 great–grandchildren.
Diane and Paul had many great adventures together whether traveling in their motorhome or while wintering in Florida.
Diane moved to Arizona four years ago to be closer to her daughters, which was a blessing in their lives. She loved her Arizona home and the neighborhood she lived in but also remained connected to her Springfield community and friends at Cherry Hills Church.
Diane was forever busy with a project whether it was making a quilt for those in need, organizing puzzles at the community clubhouse, or creating birthday cards. She was always up for a game, be it cards or board games, and loved playing with her friends and family.
She lived her life accepting everyone and taking all life’s challenges in stride. She was a caretaker, a cheerleader, a partner, an organizer, and showed kindness in all areas of her life. Most of all, Diane was a great mother and will be missed.
