Grateful for a Heartfelt Community

Tom and Mary Vitolo

We have known of the many wonderful, kind, and thoughtful deeds shown by this community, which have sweetened the day for many, having lived here in Sun Lakes for almost 33 years.

It is with thankful hearts and love for the kindness shown to my husband and me during a difficult time. This wonderful community reached out to us in a myriad ways of kind actions and support—prayers, food, calls, cards, thoughts—all of which got us through a difficult time when my husband’s heart gave out on the softball field, and he ended up in a coma for five days.

We owe thanks to many for their love, the quick and thoughtful actions of the Sun Lakes Softball players, prayers from the St. Steven’s Ladies Guild Prayer Warriors, the love, food, and friendship from our Trivia friends, the support of Chit & Chat Breakfast Group, the many friends who called and sent cards supporting us, staff at Cottonwood and Palo Verde, and I would be remiss not to include the prayers of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Peter Indian Mission. Thank you all for opening your hearts. You have been a blessing to us.
