Garden Club update

Enjoying the sunset on the new patio area are Arline and Ellie. This year Garden Club used funds from a private donation to buy new pottery for the patio areas.

The December 12 meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the Ballroom will once again be our popular Christmas Brunch celebration. This year, Donna Bergmann will do a presentation on how she pots her beautiful annuals. It is always a good time.

When we arrived I was once again blown away by how beautiful SunBird looked. The golf course has been doing such an incredible job getting everything that you see to be so green. Their hard work is really making a difference.

I saw Toni Geisinger weeding the Garden Club Garden on Hole No. 8. I know Toni and Pat Pacelli have been really working hard this year keeping the gardens weed free.

The Project Committee has been busy this year. As usual, they cleaned up and replanted cacti where needed in the Garden Club maintained areas. Pots around the Clubhouse were repotted and replanted as needed. New flowers were planted around the Clubhouse fountain. Most people aren’t aware that a lot of Garden Club areas do not have irrigation available and have to be hand watered.

As always, guests are welcome at any Garden Club meeting. We encourage you to come and try out the Garden Club.
