The SunBird Garden Club strives to assist in maintaining and beautifying several areas in our community. While being a member of the SunBird Garden Club does not require manual labor, we have been fortunate to have members (and at times non-members!) assist us not only on major projects but also weeding and watering to meet this objective. Mary Marsh has been working diligently with longtime member and Master Gardener Gudie Huffman in an effort to continue year-round maintenance of many areas in our community. Recently, Vicki Daniels, Pat Curry, and Karen Volk have assisted them on the scheduled Monday morning workdays, and we so appreciate their hard work!
In December our members generously gathered homemade cookies and other goodies to assemble and prepare platters for the HOA office, Security and Maintenance workers, the Post Office, the Pro Shop, and Golf Maintenance workers, as well as the Horizon Room employees.
We meet at 9 a.m. in the ballroom on the second Friday of the month, October through April. Watch for announcements of educational speakers and other fun activities, and consider joining us!
