SunBird resident Frank Principati recently participated in a National Powerlifting competition at the Horseshoe Hotel (formally Bally’s) on the Strip in Las Vegas, Nev., from Nov. 28 through Dec. 3, 2023. Frank specializes in the deadlift event, and he succeeded in lifting 248 pounds. Every lifter competes in a classification according to their body weight and age. Frank weighed in at 119 pounds, and he is 75 years old. He set a state and national record with his lift.
Frank is active at SunBird with the Community Church, bowling, billiards, cards, and the Fitness Center. He is also very active in the Chandler Lions Club and enjoys their community activities.
