The SunBird Lions are in the early stages of organizing a group trip, and we are seeking your feedback on three possible travel experiences. Below is a summary of each trip we are considering for 2027.
1. Trains and Canyons of the West
This 8-day journey invites you to discover the breathtaking beauty and grandeur of three iconic national parks while enjoying rides on two historic railroads. Highlights include viewing the massive sandstone walls of Canyonlands, marveling at the towering monoliths of Arches, and exploring the remarkable Spruce Tree Cliff Anasazi Dwelling. This trip promises a blend of natural wonders and fascinating history.
2. Autumn in New England and Cape Cod
Experience the vibrant colors of autumn on this 9-day adventure through New England and Cape Cod. Enjoy a narrated sand dune tour and relax during a scenic schooner cruise. The itinerary also includes exploring the rich history of Plymouth Plantation, whale watching, and sightseeing on Martha’s Vineyard. This trip offers a perfect mix of picturesque landscapes and cultural experiences.
3. America’s Music Cities
Embark on an 8-day musical journey through America’s legendary music cities. Begin in Nashville, the heart of country music, continue to Memphis, the birthplace of the Blues, and conclude in New Orleans, renowned for its deep jazz roots. Throughout the trip, you will enjoy entertainment and immerse yourself in America’s unique musical heritage at every stop.
Each of these trips is estimated to cost between $3,000 and $4,000 per person. Travel will take place in 2027.
