December is the time to look back and remember all the good moments we have had sharing our lives with so many while we move into the festive future with the bright lights and the special moments, spending time with friends and family. As our club moves on to the holiday season, we face new challenges and continue in our efforts to provide help and support to all those in need. Sometimes the unexpected happens, and we’re here to help if we can. In our storage areas we maintain a large variety of medical equipment that can help ease the pain, whether it’s for a short-term or an extended need to help improve one’s quality of life. For more details or if faced with an emergency situation, please feel free to call the number listed below.
For our club members, there are a few changes that you should put on your calendars. To start out the new year, the scheduled monthly meetings will continue to be on the third Wednesday of the month. The next scheduled meeting will be on Jan. 17, 2024; however, the time for the meeting has been moved to 10 a.m. All meetings will continue to be held at Black Bear Diner, as before. When possible, each one of our meetings will include a guest speaker, and we currently do have speakers scheduled for our upcoming meetings. Just as a reminder, the scheduled Christmas get-together will be held at Keegan’s on Dec. 6, at 2 p.m.
The Desert Navy always welcomes veterans from all branches of the service, and new members are always welcome. For additional information pertaining to membership, medical supplies, and club activities, please feel free to call Richard Volpe at 480-802-2532.
