The holidays are approaching and everyone’s calendar is going to be full of fun opportunities. At the top of that list is twirling around the dance floor with your favorite partner. What, you say, you’ve not inherited any genes from Fred Astaire, Arthur Murray or Gene Kelly; and what about being mistaken for Ginger Rogers, Cyd Charisse or Juliet Prowse? Not too often?
No problem. In a very short period of time you and that favorite partner will be able to hit the dance floor and have a ball. It’s Basic Social Dance to the rescue. At the end of the first lesson, you will be able to move to any song that is played. After about five or so lessons, you’ll be ready to claim your space on that formerly intimidating dance floor. Walk in – dance out! That’s our motto.
The benefits of learning to dance are incredible – social, (self- confidence), physical (think core muscles, balance and stamina), mental (clearer thinking, memory) and psychological (sense of accomplishment, acquisition of a new skill).
The best part is that you’re invited to attend a free sample class on Tuesday, November 8 at 4:00 p.m. in the Dance Studio located in the Cottonwood community. All you have to do is call or email your interest in taking part in this special offer and you’ll be placed on the roster.
The instructor and developer of the Basic Social Dance system is Mary Lou Kaye and you can reach her at 480-939-1869 or email [email protected].
