Just three and a half years after its startup, the Crystal Card Project has raised more than $30,000 for charity. This is nearly double the goal of $5,000 per year set in March of 2016 when the project was first conceived. The monies raised are donated to My Sister’s Place, a Chandler shelter providing support services for victims of domestic violence.

The Crystal Card Project sells “recycled” greeting cards fashioned from parts of used cards that might otherwise be thrown away. These beautiful new cards sell for only $1 each. Thousands of Crystal greeting cards are made each year by more than 100 community volunteers.

If you would like to help and purchase a card, here are the upcoming sales scheduled in Sun Lakes:

Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Sun Lakes Ladies Coffee – Cottonwood ballroom, 25630 S. Brentwood Dr.

Monday, Oct. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Renaissance lobby, 9508 E. Riggs Rd.
