Community Rallies for Life-Saving Cause at Blood Drive

The Edward Jones Sun Lakes team, led by Financial Advisor Stephen Phair, hosted its first-ever blood drive on May 8, and the results were nothing short of inspiring. With 23 donors rolling up their sleeves, this successful event has the potential to save up to 69 lives. The blood drive, held at Phair’s office at 9666 E. Riggs Road, brought together neighbors, clients, and friends who responded to the urgent call for blood donations.

“We were overwhelmed by the support from the community,” said Phair. “Every donation counts, and I’m incredibly proud of Sun Lakes residents for showing up and making a difference.”

The need for blood is critical right now. Hospitals across Arizona and the country are facing shortages that could affect patient care. Whether it’s for accident victims, surgery patients, or those undergoing cancer treatment, blood donations are a vital lifeline. The success of this first drive highlights the power of local action to address this national need.

As a thank you, donors also received a free A1C test with their donation—an added bonus that helps monitor blood sugar levels and can offer insight into overall health. This health perk was appreciated by many in attendance and is just one more reason to give.

For those who missed the first drive, another opportunity is right around the corner. Mark your calendars now: The next blood drive will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., once again at Stephen Phair’s Edward Jones office in Sun Lakes (9666 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248).

Appointments are encouraged to help streamline the process, but walk-ins will be welcomed as space allows. To sign up or get more information, please contact Stephen directly at 480-895-5179 or email stephen.phair@edwardjones.com.

Stephen and his team are committed to making the blood drive a regular event in Sun Lakes and hope to grow it with each session. “This isn’t just about investing in your financial future—it’s about investing in your community,” said Phair.

With the spirit of giving alive and well in Sun Lakes, the Edward Jones team looks forward to another successful event in August. Let’s keep the momentum going, because when you donate blood, you give life.
