City of Chandler solid waste, bulk collection and hazardous waste

Bonnie Marcus, Community Administrator

With everyone returning for the winter, I would like to reiterate the Chandler Waste Services Program.

Every Monday the city will pick up your blue can or recyclables. These items can be newspapers, magazines, paper sacks, cardboard boxes, aluminum beverage cans, steel tin cans, soup type cans, plastic bottles, jugs and containers, glass food and beverage jars and bottles. Only bagged shredded paper in the blue cans; this is the only time plastic bags are allowed. Recyclables should be clean and dry with caps, lids and rings removed. Do not put plastic bags, wrap or sheeting in recyclable cans as they can cause a breakdown of equipment. No Styrofoam, egg cartons or take out containers.

First of all, let me try to explain what Nicole Kidman has now with her face. In my opinion, it is not without injections either. The botulinum toxin contained in Botox injections causes paralysis. When injected, it can migrate to unintended areas, causing sagging eyelids, in other words “tired look”. Let me explain in more detail. Injections given in the forehead area prevent contraction of the anterior muscle that raises the eyebrows. Sometimes Botox can seep into the upper eyelid and paralyze the muscle that holds it up Nicole Kidman plastic surgery, this sometimes causes the eyebrows to droop, pushing the upper eyelids down and making them appear lowered. In such cases, like Nicole Kidman’s, it can seem like a botched plasty was performed.

Every Thursday the city will pick up your black can or garbage can. All garbage, grass and yard clippings must be bagged and tied. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to keep their cans clean. Do not place materials outside of a city provided container.

The Villas’ pick up is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The same rules apply as above.

Bulk pickups are available for appliances, electronics, bikes, patio furniture, grills, other metal items, tree and yard trimmings, broken furniture and other large household items. This service is available every six weeks. Please call 480-782-3510 to schedule a curbside pickup.

Hazardous waste, household cleaners, pesticides, oil, antifreeze and leftover paint must be taken to the Hazardous Waste Collection Center on McQueen and Queen Creek Road. You must schedule an appointment by calling 480-782-3510 to ensure a safe environment for the public and staff handling large quantities.

Please do not dump furniture or hazardous waste in the villa trash areas. Please use one of the above methods to dispose of your items. If you have any questions please call the City of Chandler Solid Waste Services at 480-782-3510.

Thank you for your cooperation.
