Cheers members are happy to have our socials return for our Thursday gathering. April 8 was our first outing at Sisk Park in Palo Verde. We had about 35 members return and two new members joined. The second social was on April 15 at the Grill on the Green in Ironwood, with 30-some members attending and two more new members joining our club.
We will now be returning to Ironwood Grill on the Green every Thursday at 3:30 p.m. It is wonderful to have found a new location for us to be together. Our meeting on April 22 was very enjoyable, with 35 or more people attending.
Now that the socials have started up again, it’s time to get our other groups restarted. We will keep you posted as they happen. If any member would like to start a game night, please let us know and we’ll make it happen. If anyone would like to get the discussion group going again, let’s make a plan. We are working on getting the library back for Book Club, so watch for news on that. If anyone has an idea of something they would like to start, bring it on.
Thanks to all of you who have brought items for the Chandler/Hamilton Schools children in need. It’s important that we all do as much as we can to help these students work to achieve a better life. Keep the donations coming. Also, money is used to buy the items needed by these students. For more details about donations, call Sally Wegryn at 203-470-0733, Sue Agnew at 480-491-0733, or check out our website at cheerssingles.org.
If you are a single living in Sun Lakes, SunBird, Solera, or Springfield, you are welcome to join us. We would love to have you as a member.
