The highways and skyways have been filled with visitors from the North arriving for their annual fun in the sun or “summer camp” adventures at SunBird Golf Resort.
Special events begin early with the annual Auction and CRAB golf tournament on November 16 and 17. Our Canadian team players will test their skills against the Roadrunners, Americans and Bandits. The sign-up sheet will be in the Pro Shop by October 31, or call Wes at 480-802-2904.
The CRAB Tournament begins with refreshments on the patio at 7:30 a.m. prior to the shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with lunch on the patio after golf. Our team of 30 players placed second last year. We look forward to another spirited competition but, more importantly, to raising funds necessary for capital expenditures for our golf course.
Our annual Grey Cup Party (the Canadian Superbowl) is on November 26 in the ballroom. For $5, you can watch the game on the 12-foot screen and enjoy Alberta beef burgers at halftime. Susan and Mike McMillan will be looking after registration.
