Why I Love Living in SunBird!

Living in SunBird is something I truly enjoy. There is a wonderful sense of community here that makes it feel like more than just a place to live-it feels like home. I love being surrounded by friendly neighbors and having opportunities to meet people, make new friendships, and enjoy activities together.

One of my favorite things about living in SunBird is the beautiful Arizona sunshine. The warm weather allows me to spend more time outdoors and enjoy the community’s many amenities. Whether I am relaxing, taking a walk, enjoying the pool, or participating in activities, there is always something that makes each day enjoyable.

I also appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of SunBird. After a busy day, it is nice to come home to a comfortable and welcoming neighborhood where I can relax and enjoy my surroundings. At the same time, Chandler has everything I need nearby, including shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and beautiful places to explore.

For me, living in SunBird is about enjoying life, feeling connected to my community, and making wonderful memories. I am grateful to call SunBird in Chandler my home.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Barbra Boyd

I love SunBird. My wife and I moved here three years ago and we enjoy everything that SunBird has to offer. That said, I believe there are many things in our community that need to be addressed to put SunBird in the pristine condition that Homeowners deserve. I see a lot of neglect and decay in the common areas that have a negative effect on home values. Our community may be older but it has great potential.

Here are a few things that I believe are important to our community:

Prioritize safety and security.

Maintain all common areas in a way that shows we care about how things look.

Create a system that gives Homeowners the ability to submit Maintenance requests online. Implement the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System that documents the status of every request and is also used to schedule the Maintenance crews for optimal productivity.

Provide a much more transparent accounting of HOA Finances to Homeowners.

Work with SunBird management and Community members to upgrade the Horizon Room environment and menu in a way that increases traffic and profitability.

I appreciate you all!! God Bless! Jed Ciudaj, 6371 S. Championship Drive 520-288-6518.

My wife and I have proudly called SunBird home for 11 years. As a second-generation homeowner, I have a deep connection to this community and am committed to helping protect and improve it.

I am running for the Board to provide responsible leadership, careful financial management, and a strong commitment to SunBird’s future.

My core focus areas include:

Financial Responsibility – Protect homeowners’ investments and plan for long-term value.

Resident Input – Listen to homeowners and consider their concerns.

Safety and Security – Help protect our residents and community.

Beautification and Upkeep – Preserve our facilities, amenities and property to keep SunBird attractive and welcoming.

I retired from Mesa Public Schools, where I worked as a carpenter on projects at multiple schools. Previously, I was a production manager in Illinois, overseeing more than 200 employees. These roles strengthened my ability to manage people and resources, solve problems, plan ahead, and follow through.

I am an active member of the SunBird Lions Club and enjoy golfing and watching sports.

I am running because I care about the SunBird community. l would be honored to earn your vote and serve on the Board.

I am writing to express my strong interest in serving on our HOA Board.

I bring strong and fair business judgment and a practical, resourceful approach to project management. My leadership relies on five core strengths:

Relator: Community connection and information

Responsibility: Ownership of commitments

Restorative: Problem solving

Activator: Getting things done quickly, turning plans into action

Learner: Seeking new information, resident feedback and best practices to improve SunBird.

With over 40 years of experience in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry, I am also passionate about using small, strategic shifts to turn the Horizon Room into the warm, contemporary and inviting social hub we all deserve.

I am a member of several neighborhood clubs, including the SunBird Golf Club. It is my belief that the SunBird HOA and the SunBird Golf Club must, and are able, to work together toward a common goal—and that is: We are One Community.

We thrive working together with clear goals and communication. Through mutual trust and prompt action, we can achieve our shared purposes. I’ll do my best to keep SunBird a Welcoming, Friendly and Vibrant community. I would be honored to receive your vote.

I am interested in serving on the SunBird Homeowners Association Board. My husband, Ron, and I purchased our home here in April 2019 and quickly came to love this community. I have served as President of Kare Bears, Vice President of the SunBird Garden Club, and supported other community activities. I believe every community I live in should be better because I was part of it, and I would welcome the opportunity to help shape SunBird’s future.

I am a registered nurse with 43 years of experience, primarily in public health nursing. I established the first health department in Wells County, North Dakota, and was named North Dakota’s Outstanding Public Health Worker.

Assets I Would Bring to the Board:

Idea person: I am willing to think creatively, try new approaches, listen to others, and keep people informed and involved.

Effective worker: I am organized, cost-conscious, and focused on getting things done.

Cooperative leader: I work well with groups, board members, and individuals, and I take pride in collaboration.

Our community is progressive and vibrant. As we move forward, I will promote clear communication for the good of SunBird.

I Would Appreciate Your Vote.
