Attention Pet Owners!

We’re fortunate to share SunBird with many beloved pets who are truly part of the family. To keep our community safe and enjoyable for everyone, please remember to:

• Clean up after your pets.

• Keep all pets (not confined to your property) on a leash that you are holding. The City of Chandler requires this, and it applies to cats, dogs, hamsters, or any other type of pet.

A few reminders about pet safety and rules in SunBird:

• Leashes: Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, and you must hold the leash to maintain control.

• Behavior: Pets should not jump on, touch, or bite anyone (human or animal).

• Waste: Always pick up solid waste immediately and dispose of it in a proper receptacle.

• Sports Courts: Pets are not allowed on the sports courts.

• Additional Rules: See the HOA CC&Rs Section 2.11 or the Rules Manual for more details.

Protecting Your Pets:

SunBird is home to coyotes and birds of prey, so please take extra precautions to keep your pets safe.

City Ordinance (Chandler, 14-10):

It is unlawful to allow a dog to bark, howl, or make noises that disturb the peace. For issues like dogs at large, licensing, bites, or vicious behavior, you can contact Maricopa County Animal Control.

Pet-Friendly Areas:

Pets that follow all the rules are welcome to use the grassy common areas around the clubhouse and east of the post office to Waterview Drive.

Thank you for helping us create a safe and respectful environment for all!
