Artists Display Their Talent at Art Show

Resident Diane Wimmer showed her latest acrylic painting White Stallion at the Art Club’s annual Art Show. Diane is a retired consultant for the computer industry and for special education behavior. Her husband is at their home in Hotchkiss, Colo., where it is cooler.

Jane does watercolor and oil painting, in addition to pyrography wood-burned items. Over 20 artists displayed their work at the show in the SunBird clubhouse. More items can be seen regularly in the clubhouse glass display case.

Members of the group also create pastels; pencil, pen, and ink; and portrait art. They create all mediums when they meet on Thursdays from 9 a.m. until noon, and they welcome all to stop in.

Floy Feldman, a snowbird from Minnesota, was one of this year’s winners and took home a beautiful lion created in colored pencil.
