Art Club news

Sharon Eade

As the month of May dawns on SunBird, it is evident that many of our snowbirds have returned to their summer residences or are packing up to leave in the very near future. Though clubs and activities slow down, those who remain can still enjoy the wonderful lifestyle that brought us all here.

Our Art Club is no exception, even as our numbers diminish considerably. But that doesn’t stop us from continuing our shared enjoyment of creating art, as you will find members in the Hopi Room every Wednesday morning. Stop by to see what we are doing and you might even want to join us. This year, we had such a busy and fun season taking classes, going on excursions, enjoying seeing and meeting so many who attended our show and sale and, most of all, spending time with such a nurturing group of people.

So until we reunite in the fall, pencils and pens will be drawing and pastels and paints will be making beautiful pictures. Have a safe and creative summer, and we will see you in the fall.
