The February meeting of the American-Irish Club was held on February 3 in the Horizon Room at 6:00 p.m. President Walt Kinney was ill so our Vice President Deanna Calvert conducted the meeting; there were 58 members present. After the reading of January’s minutes and the Treasurer’s report, we discussed our plans for the annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner to be held on March 11. This dinner will be open to the public. Tickets are on sale at the office for $15 pp. The Horizon Room will be catering and Jamal will be the DJ for dancing after dinner. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. Door prizes, a 50-50 drawing and other fun stuff will be featured along with dinner. An open bar will be available all evening.
Our February bus trip to Laughlin was on February 17-19; we had a full bus and hopefully lots of winners! Also in February we had a Shuffleboard Tournament. Hot dogs and cookies were provided, along with BYOB. The games began on Wednesday, February 25 at 2:30 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m., followed by a Pizza fest furnished by Rush St. Pizza.
